Many health care policy analysts have made the comparison between Romneycare and Obamacare. The two government-run health care plans are strikingly similar, right down to the individual mandate. As much distance as Romney has tried to put between the two plans, most Americans aren't buying it. Today, the White House has confirmed that the White House consulted Romney officials while creating Obamacare.
They met 12 times.
The records with 1000s of name and detail omissions, (7) gleaned from White House visitor logs reviewed by NBC News, show that senior White House officials had a dozen meetings in 2009 with three health-care advisers and experts who helped shape the health care reform law signed by Romney in 2006, when the Republican presidential candidate was governor of Massachusetts. One of those meetings, on July 20, 2009, was in the Oval Office and presided over by President Barack Obama, the records show.
This is completely unacceptable from a Republican candidate. We don't need a President that is giving President Obama ideas on how to expand the role of government - this isn't exactly the change that we're looking for. Americans across the country unified around health care freedom and fought hard against socialized medicine for 3 years. Why would we relent now and support the man who served as the architect of Obamacare?
Left off records of white House visits are thousands of other visitors to the White House, including lobbyists, government employees, campaign donors, policy experts and rightious and nefarious friends of the Obamas, according to an investigation by the Center for Public Integrity.(7)
At the same time, the FIX is in, the cover is in place as the White House website proudly boasts of user access to “over 1,000,000 records of every person who has entered the White House” via a searchable database. HOGWASH!!! Bravo Sierra or B.S. AND just to obfuscate and "BLOW SMOKE UP SOMETHING, The logs even include the names of people who never showed up. Among the many weaknesses found by the Center’s detailed and painstaking analysis of the database:
**The “event” description in the logs is blank for over 205,000 visits, including a multitude pf people involved in small meetings with the president and his key aides.
**Five junior staff aides together received more than 4,440 visits. Contrasting this is, then-chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, long over-rated for his alleged workaholic schedule, listed as receiving less than than 500 visits.
**Less than 1 percent of the estimated 500,000 visitors to the White House in Obama’s first eight months at a time when the new Obama administration was highly active with activity, have been disclosed, according to the Center’s analysis.
** The logs include names of people cleared by the Secret Service for White House entry who apparently never showed up. The Center analysis found more than 200,000 visits listed no time of arrival, an indication that the person didn’t enter the White House, though there is no possible way to be certain. For example, actor Ryan Gosling, listed at a West Wing extravaganza with all the members of his band, Dead Man’s Bones, in October of 2009 supposedly was there. Carolyn Govers, Gosling’s representative, stated that Ryan Gosling did not attend as he had other things to do and begged off.
**Two-thirds of the over 1 million names listed are TOURISTS who went through sections of the White House on guided group tours.
On June 16, 2009, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration to get the release of information about the visits of coal company executives allegedly trying to save their businesses from regulation strangulation and endless red tape. (3) And also on June 16, 2009, MSNBC.com reported that its expanded request for logs since Jan. 20, 2009 had been denied.(2)
"The Obama administration has now taken exactly the same position as the Bush administration," said Anne Weismann, the chief counsel for CREW. "I don't see how you can keep people from knowing who visits the White House and adhere to a policy of openness and transparency."
White House visitor records at best are sketchy (7) and lack significant details such as WHO the visitor represents, what is in his briefcase, how long he spoke, what meetings he or she attended. This has to be scary for the FBI and security as MOST of these visitors showed up for meetings unveted, unverified, and without background information on who they were and for whom they worked/represented.
Known visitors included a broad cross-section of the people most involved in the health care debate and waiver seekers, including George Halvorson, chairman and CEO of Kaiser Health Plans; Scott Serota, president and CEO of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association; Kenneth Kies, a Washington lobbyist who represents Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and many other clients; Billy Tauzin, head of PhRMA, the drug industry lobby; Richard Umbdenstock, chief of the American Hospital Association, and numerous paid promoters called lobbyists. T. Boone Pickens, Texas oilman and major Republican donor, a proponent of wind-generated energy using Chinese-made equipment, had at least three visits, the records show.
During this time, Dr. Ezekiel J Emanuel, a noted bioethicist, and brother of then Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, (now mayor of Chicago) was chosen as an influential health care advisor on alleged Death Panel so prominent in rumors but seldom discussed by the lapdog Lame Stream Media gang. Like most One World advocates, Dr. Ezekiel J Emanuel, favors euthanasia for the old, disabled and George Bernard Shaw's "useless eaters Third Reichcare and abortion as a two-edged sword against population maintenance of size and growth. Like most European countries the USA is being flooded at the same time by legal and illegal aliens who enjoy free birthing of anchor babies. The taxpayers pay for all this extravagance not reciprocated (i.e. paid back or covered) in Mexico or even Canada (SURPRISE! They are NOT STOOPID!) for American citizens living/working there. (5)
Then Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, senior advisers David Axelrod, Valerie Jarrett and Pete Rouse, presidential health care adviser Nancy-Ann DeParle, Christina Bellantoni (6)October 19, 2009,and 16 unknown others met continuously allegedly conspiring with outside interests on health care.
Failing to get all the White House visitor records, Associated Press News Agency settled in late September 2009 for 575 sketchy, bare-bones records given them which included a February 2009 meeting with Rahm Emanuel and a several other people about an undisclosed, under-wraps subject. Also a large May of 2009 meeting for an event on "smart grid" electrical transmission technology was held. (4)
We can and MUST do better since MOST of us will NOT have access to company and individual waivers obtained through lawyers and lobbyists and lawyer/lobbyists.
